There were no matching bonus offers when I visited, just a collection of free spins and contest deals. So, there were no playthrough requirements or rollovers to worry about.

You simply get credit for winning a prize, and the top prize I saw was £100. 

There is also a drops contest going on each day. They work the way most drops do.

There is no rollover on winnings because the most you can cash in on is £30. You must use up the spins within 72 hours.

Paying the free spins could be a bargain, too, but I’m no fan of the ceiling on cashable wins. 

Bonus Vault

A more alluring offer is the Bonus Vault, which contains a prize of up to £100. You stake at least a penny on a designated promotion game – slot or table – and play away.

If the Bonus Vault opens during your play, you win as much as £100. What’s unique is that everyone playing at the same time that a Vault opens wins £1. 

With pennies to invest for a chance to win £100 and a both-ways win opportunity, I like this offer. Plus, at least some table games are allowed.

William Hill Casino games fall short of most online casinos in sheer numbers.

They have fewer than 200 slots and are missing a few games in other areas, such as casino poker. There is still enough variety here to offer most casino gamblers what they want.

I could not register or deposit, and the casino has no demo or free-play game mode for nonmembers.

However, I did survey the games displays by category and found many games I had played at other sites and other games I could play elsewhere for free.

Though WH does not list return-to-player (RTP) percentages with games, you can count on fairness by virtue of the reputable software providers and UK regulations.

William Hill has categories and subcategories for games. Their main casino categories are Vegas, Live Casino, and Bingo, and the sub-categories are the same with space for Slots, Exclusives, Jackpots, and Table.

Let’s explore the different categories of games that William Hill has to offer.

Slots

William Hill Casino has 190 slots, a low number by online casino standards but plenty of variety for most slot lovers.

Call up the Slots category, and you get sub-categories New, Top Slots, In Shops, More Slots, and Drops & Wins.

With a title search, you also get theme categories Big Bass, Gold, Irish, Egypt, Fish, Book, and Wolf. Together, the arrangement makes searching for the right slot easy.

I gathered information on the games from past experience and from playing some for free at other sites.

I focused on the slots and themes WH seems to emphasize. For instance, Big Bass Splash is their big welcome bonus game, so I took a few turns at a site that offered a demo mode.

I found that it carries its own bonus of a possible 5,000 your wager and has lots of free spins and bonus rounds.

Triple 777 Jackpot is one of their new games from Sgaming, and it’s a retro-themed setup with a lucrative bonus round.

While the site does not list RTPs with games, my rough survey revealed that the gamemakers list the slots ranging from 93.5% to 96.7%, about what you would expect from slots.

Blackjack

There are 10 versions of blackjack in William Hill Casino, around the same number as most sites.

I took a look at Playtech’s Premium Blackjack, which incorporates most of the options of other games.

You can play up to five hands here and play the straight-up 3:2 blackjack payout game conducive to optimal strategy.

But, there are also bonus bet options of player’s pair and 21+3. Player’s pair offers 6:1 on a pair and 25:1 on a suited pair.

The 21+3 bet adds a three-card poker element by paying 5:1 for a flush of the player’s two cards and the dealer’s up card, up to 100:1 for a suited three-of-a-kind.

The other William Hill blackjack games offer variations of these bets.

I noticed the Blazing 7’s Blackjack pays up to 777x your wager for three suited 7s. But any bonus bet reduces your RTP to below the plus 99% of the basic game with strategy.

Optimal strategy plays well with the William Hill Mayfair Blackjack, which offers double splits.

Roulette

The William Hill Casino roulette selection is routine. It is comprised of single- and double-zero games with wagers starting at pennies for spreading out.

It is a category of 10 games in the Table section. It is generally a hum-drum collection with no bonus games like those that offer multipliers for pre-designated numbers.

There is one exceptional game of the lot. Inspired Gaming’s 100 to 1 Roulette is much like a big wheel game that offers bets on 100 numbers and includes standard bets.

The layout is a checkerboard with five green symbols and ten 9:1 columns.

I played a free version and had a winning session, betting a column and a series of corners. It’s a great take on the standard game.

Other Table Games

The remainder of William Hill’s table games are thin, with just two I could find.

They kind of hide the baccarat and Caribbean Stud games; they are not in the Table category, so I had to pick them up through a title search.

The baccarat game by Playtech offers standard Player and Banker odds but pays 9:1 instead of the usual 8:1 for a Tie.

It has other bonus bet options, including 11:1 for a pair and 25:1 for a suited pair.

The Caribbean is also a Playtech version with a standard paytable that pays 100:1 for a royal flush.

Video Poker

William Hill is deceptive with its video poker offerings, too. There is no video poker category, so I had to dig up the games with title searches.

Initially, it looks slack with three Jacks or Better games and two other wild card games. But it has Ultimate X Triple Play Poker, which is a suite of nine video poker games that include the major wild card games.

I checked out the Deuces Wild game, a Playtech version that allows up to 25 hands to play.

It has a full-pay paytable that offers the advantages of playing with strategy. I played a few four-hand games and decided to seek it out in my next real-money session.

Casual Games – Specialty Games

William Hill Casino has a Bingo section with 50 games featuring prizes for all sorts of configurations.

They also have live rooms with competitors and chat. There is no category for other types of specialty games, not even the 22 Slingo games in stock. I searched “scratch” and “crash” to find others. 

Of course, there are no practice play scratchcards, so I didn’t get to check out

A Nightmare on Elm Street to see if I liked it better than the movie. I did find a free version of Big Bass Crash by Pragmatic, and I liked it.

The fisherman drags his net as fish go in, and multipliers build. You have to guess how full the net will get. There is also a casino solitaire, which isn’t available on most sites.

Live Dealer Games

This casino appears to have a vibrant Live Casino, so I was disappointed that I could not participate in the action.

I could get no farther than the displays, so I couldn’t even observe the action.

Nevertheless, the section has 79 choices, including plenty of blackjack, roulette, and baccarat. They also have big wheel games, casino poker, Pachinko, and others.

Many of the games are from Evolution and Playtech, so I know those to have good dealers and production value.

Poker Room Review

Not all casinos have poker rooms, but William Hill has one that features Texas Hold ’em, Omaha, and even Seven-Card Stud games, which most poker rooms don’t offer.
