Here are a couple of notions about Bodog Casino that should be refuted.

Bodog casino games are from some of the top providers. Yes, they are missing a few key games. But they also have a few that you won’t find at most online casinos.

Fortunately, I found many of my favorite games when doing this Bodog Casino review. I base my top ones on how they look, play, and pay.

There’s a solid collection of more than 1,000 Bodog Casino slots. 

They come in all types and are from top slot creators who continually update the library. Finding the right games is a problem with extensive collections like these. Bodog provides a title search and breaks down the category into Exclusives, Bonus Buys, Jackpot Games, and Hold and Win. 

Hot Drops is a category of its own. But there is no search by provider or reel number. If you are shopping, you’re scrolling.

Five of my favorites are there, and I played four with mixed luck. I could not load one of them, Demon’s Delight, after four tries.

I had good luck with Gold Rush Gus picking up $5 on 25 spins at 20 cents each. My big score was on Mythic Wolf, which turned in a $27 profit after 25 spins at 50 cents a pop. Reels & Wheels and Caesar’s Empire were not as kind; I lost $4 between the two.

Some of the slots have RTPs posted in the instructions. I saw from 93% to 97.7% and have confidence that the top game makers have these ratings tested for fairness. 

Most slots are suitable for playing with a bonus because the wagers count 100% toward a playthrough. Keep in mind that there’s a list of slots that don’t count toward bonuses at all. Be sure to check their terms.

Blackjack

Blackjack is a fixture at all casinos, and Bodog blackjack goes beyond the standard version among its 15 games. Some bonus bet games award you for getting special card combinations on the deal, such as matching ranks or suits. 

There are versions like 21 Burn, Pontoon, and 22 Free Bet. And there is Zappit, which answers the question of what to do with the dreaded 15, 16, or 17. 

I stuck with the standard Single Deck Blackjack, played by the book, and came out $4 to the good on seven deals at $1 each, the minimum on most of these games.

I didn’t find my favorites, Blackjack Switch or Back Blackjack, but this collection provides most blackjack players’ needs.

You can wager up to $500 a deal, but you will only get 10% toward any bonus playthrough wager for most games and 5% for Single Deck or Double Deck versions.

Roulette

There are seven versions.  I found the standard single- and double-zero games, including the European version, to have extra bet combination options for spreading out with multiple numbers.

Other variations offer multipliers for hitting specific numbers predetermined by the game.

I usually try a roulette but passed this time because the Dragon Roulette I wanted to try wouldn’t load. You can get a multiplier of up to 500x for landing a number in that one.

You can wager from $1 to $500 in most of these games, but only 5% of your wager counts toward a bonus rollover.

Other Table Games

If you like casino poker or dice games, Bodog Casino has enough to keep you entertained. There are Caribbean Hold ’em, Caribbean Stud, and Let ’em Ride poker games with jackpots of up to $180,000. 

There are other three-card poker games, Pai Gow, Oasis Poker, and hi-lo games. The site has just one baccarat game. Folks who like the dice roll can find craps and Roll the Dice, both games with multiple betting options.

I played craps, and rather than playing the pass-odds-come strategy I usually use, I tried sticking on Don’t Pass for a few rolls at the minimum $1.

I got through 18 outs before dropping $4. I also like Teen Patti, and Bodog has three versions, including my favorite, Teen Patti Pro. Bodog has another Indian favorite, Andar Bahar. 

Most of the games allow wagers of $1 to $500. Table games vary in their contribution toward bonus rollovers, but you will get no more than 20% on your wager in most.  Baccarat only awards 5%, and craps doesn’t count at all.

Video Poker

Bodog Casino doesn’t have a video poker menu category, so finding a game is a matter of searching by title. That was easy enough for me to find seven of these five-card draw games. I did not find a Deuces Wild. 

They do have Jacks or Better, Jokers, and bonus games with an assortment of special odds for special hands. You can get multi-hand versions of some games. 

Some games are coin-based, allowing as little as 5-cent values per coin for up to five coins.  Most games allow bets of up to $25, but the wagers count just 10% toward a bonus rollover.

Casual Games – Specialty Games

With 88 choices, Bodog Casino has more specialty games than any other category except for slots. 

When you click on the category, you get subcategories to help your search: Crash Games, Scratch Cards, Bingo Games, Keno, and Instant Win. Most are scratch cards, but they have a few Plinko’s, action games, and virtual sportsbooks that match fake teams for wagering.

I tried a couple of crash games – Avia Masters and Space XY – and crashed to the tune of $4 in losses on 30-cent wagers. 

I also played 25 Capymania Orange scratch-offs at 10 cents each and lost another $1. The good news? I got full credit toward my bonus playthrough since specialty games count 100%. Betting limits on the games I saw ranged from 10 cents to $100.

Live Dealer Games

With 55 selections, Bodog has about the same number of live dealer games as most online casinos. They are restricted to the three most popular table games, blackjack, roulette, and baccarat.

There is a Super 6 among the baccarat games. However, there are no big-wheel games or other live studio games that many sites have nowadays. 

Bodog has two live casinos: Dynamite Interactive, where the bet limits go up to  $5,000, and Gold Tier Games, which allow wagers as high as $50,000.

You can get into a $5 baccarat game or make a roulette play for $1, but most of the low-limit tables start at $5. 

I did not play the live casino because the higher limits didn’t match my budget. But I did look into several games to watch the action and found the streams loaded in seconds, and the action skipped a lot. 

Rules were easy to find, the display was made for easy betting, and you had a chat and sound options. The dealers approached the games with mixed enthusiasm, but all seemed professional and knowledgeable.

Blackjack dealers appeared to be using six-deck shoes, and most shuffled after about three or four decks. I noticed a dealer at a table with seven players who went almost all the way through a shoe, so you may find a card-counting opportunity.

Tables were pretty busy; I saw as many as 100 seats filled during daytime EST hours. 

You can bet from behind on another player’s hand, so a wager is available at any table.

Poker Room Review

Ignition and Bovada use the same poker interface as Bodog, so if you’ve played at one site, you know what to expect. That’s anonymous poker with limited emoji chat in no-limit Texas Hold ’em, limit Hold ’em, Omaha, and Hi-Lo Omaha.

The cash ring games start at $ .02/$ .04 blinds and go up to $2.50/$5 with buy-ins from $1.50 to $500. You can play up to four tables at a time, and there is a practice mode if you want to play for free.

There are poker bonuses of up to $1,000, which you can play through by earning reward points. You get 15 points for every $1 in rake you contribute, and 150 points release $5 in bonus money.

Bodog Poker also has zone games, sit & gos, jackpot sit & gos, and other tournaments going all day. The jackpot sit & gos offer pots of up to $100,000 on a $50 buy-in. Among the other tournaments I saw was a $5,888 guaranteed event with a $15 buy-in.

There are also Mystery Knockout tourneys in which a player receives a random prize of up to $4,000 for eliminating another player.

I played a few hands of no-limit Hold ’em in the practice mode and found the setup exactly the same as what I have become familiar with at Ignition. The interface is set up well enough to suit newcomers. You can download a poker app or use instant play from your browser.

Here’s How I Tested

I had a few questions for chat, and they were prompt in their response. They promoted cryptocurrency rather than give me a direct answer on speed of deposit. But they gave me a break when I asked about a failed bonus redemption, and the bonus came through.

Bodog Casino’s website is well-designed and easy to navigate on both mobile and desktop, making it simple to move through games, bonuses, and account settings.

While the layout is mostly intuitive, a few quirks in navigation stood out, specially the following.

• Some games only let me exit by using the browser’s back arrow, while others returned me to the main lobby rather than the category I was in, which interrupted the flow a bit.
• Game load times were generally fine, but a couple of slots took a while, and one of my favorites didn’t load at all. Once they’re up, though, all the games run smoothly, even on mobile—though I noticed live dealer games can be choppy without a strong connection.

Finding proposition bets took a bit more effort, but Bodog offers prop-building and quick-pick tools that let you select multiple players and angles.

Parlays are available for most sports, with options to mix players and sports. You’ll find standard moneylines, spreads, and totals, with odds displayed in American, decimal, and fractional formats. Live or in-game betting is also offered for major sports.

The racebook covers North American tracks, using morning line odds up until post time. It includes wagers like exacta, trifecta, and superfecta, as well as standard win, place, and show options, but it doesn’t support multi-race wagers like pick 3s, 4s, or 5s.

Betting limits vary, from as low as $0.50 up to higher amounts based on the sport and wager type. For example, you can’t win over $500,000 on a parlay, and a pop-up message will alert you if you exceed the limit.
