Adele Confirms She Needs a Break from Music

In a recent concert in Munich, Germany, Adele announced that she is about to take a lengthy hiatus from music.

She told fans, “I really enjoyed performing for nearly three years now, which is the longest I’ve ever done and probably the longest I would ever do.”

It has been amazing. I just need a rest.

She then went on to tell fans that she has 10 more shows left to complete her Las Vegas residency.

She revealed, “But after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time. And I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break. And I will fantasize about these shows and any shows that I’ve done over the last three years, and I really, really hold them in the bottom of my heart forever.”

“It has been amazing. I just need a rest.” She then told fans that she has spent seven years “building a new life for myself.”

Adele has five weeks of shows to make up for from February, when she was forced to postpone several shows due to illness and to rest her voice.

She will return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace to conclude her “Weekends with Adele” residency, which will include shows every weekend from October 25 through November 23.

Adele’s Next Chapter: Engagement and Plans for a Second Child

While Adele didn’t go into many details about why she chose now to take her hiatus, there are several potential clues.

The biggest came at a Munich concert on August 9 when she told a fan in the crowd that she couldn’t marry them because she was “already getting married” and showed off her engagement ring.

This effectively confirmed her engagement to sports agent Rich Paul. The pair have been dating since 2021 and now appear ready to tie the knot.

This upcoming hiatus would provide a perfect opportunity for the couple to get married and start their lives together without the constant prying eyes of the media and fans.

Next, Adele may be ready for a second child.

I really want to be a mom again soon.

—Adele

During one of her Las Vegas residency shows in August, she told a fan, “I really want to be a mom again soon,” and “Every time I see a name that I like, I write it down in my phone.”

Adele has a 10-year-old son, Angelo, from her previous marriage to Simon Konecki. This upcoming hiatus would give her the perfect opportunity to expand her family with her soon-to-be new husband.

Regardless of her reasons, she is set for life and doesn’t really need to return. According to Yahoo Entertainment, the legendary singer has a net worth of over $220 million.

One could not blame her if she doesn’t return, but odds are we will see her again, as she does appear to genuinely love music.

Final Vegas Shows Are Sold Out and in High Demand

If you want to catch Adele before she takes her hiatus, it will cost you.

The shows have long been sold out, and the only way to get a ticket is through a third-party site like StubHub. The average ticket price on the popular ticket site starts at around $1,600, with some prime seats going for as much as $90,000 each.

If you plan to pony up the money for tickets, I suggest you go through a trusted site like Studhub and not use a scalping service.

That way, you can be assured of getting genuine tickets. Better still, you can wait for Adele to return from hiatus, where you can certainly find cheaper tickets.
