Club World Casino Review: Is It Time to Evolve?

According to various reports, Club World Casino used to be one of the best online casinos, but after a management change in 2016, their reputation nosedived.

Several review websites have blacklisted the casino. Some say that they banished them “due to poor management and lack of payments to players.”

One big problem seemed to be bounced checks. A player named “Sue” posted in a gambling forum that two weeks after she deposited a check, it bounced. User GaryBaker198 made a similar complaint.

Recent information from players is hard to find. There is almost no recent information on sites like Reddit, which seems odd.

I could only find one Trustpilot comment for Club World USA, another name the casino is known for. It was from Antonio Villanueva, who complained about the site’s lack of updates.

I also found some recent comments in other forums, but they are all negative.

If you look at some forums around the internet, you can understand that there are some myths about Club World Casino. Let me take a moment to dispel some.

The bonuses at this casino are only good if you play slots or Keno. These are the only games that pay 100% toward the rollover, with all others contributing 40% or less.

Due to the restrictive terms, I chose not to play on a bonus.

RealTime Gaming powers Club World Casino, and it appears to be using the basic package. That’s apparent because there are only 194 games and only a handful of progressive jackpot games.

However, the games there are high-quality, and you can access their top slot franchises like Cash Bandits and Bubble Bubble.

Some games I played included Alien Wins, 777, Beary Wild, Diamond Fiesta, Dragon Feast, and Gem Fruit.

One thing I noticed right away is that this casino is using a remote connection link to RTG game servers.

While this is a simple way to set up an online casino, it also results in slower gameplay. It’s like watching a YouTube video at 75% speed. 

RTG does not list its games’ RTP, making it difficult to find good games. However, as I mentioned earlier, most games seemed to play extraordinarily tight, and the gaming sessions were not as enjoyable as they should have been. 

Slots contribute 100% toward any rollover for bonuses. It is the best option for clearing a bonus.

Blackjack

RTG Casinos always lack blackjack options. There are only three variants, including the standard version, Perfect Pairs Blackjack, and Suit ‘Em Up Blackjack.

This casino sticks with the default table limits starting at  $1 per hand, making the games suitable for most bankrolls.

I only played standard blackjack, as I avoid side-bet table games, which give the casino a higher house edge. I also play intermediate strategy.

My sessions in this game were primarily break even, which ended up being the highlight of my table gaming at this casino.

The blackjack options are largely inferior to other casinos due to the lack of variety. The gameplay elements are fairly standard, which is fine with blackjack games.

Blackjack games only contribute 10% toward the rollover, so they are not a good option for clearing a bonus.

Roulette

If you like Roulette, this casino is not for you. They have a single table of European Roulette available.

Fortunately, Club World Casino lists it in its Table Games section, making it easy to find. Most RTG Casino lists it as a specialty game or don’t categorize it at all. 

The game graphics are basic and the same as the casino has offered for years. It gets the job done if you want to play a little roulette.

I didn’t bother playing this as I was trying to conserve my bankroll due to my losing streak.

If you play on a bonus, Roulette contributes 40% toward the rollover. This is worse than other casinos where Roulette games contribute 50%.

Other Table Games

The table games section has 14 tables, including the blackjack and roulette games. The other options include Baccarat, 32 Cards, Andar Bahar, Caribbean poker games, Tri Card Poker, and Lucky 7. 

Some of the newer games, like Andar Bahar, have crisp graphics and a sleek, modern look.

Most of the other games have been part of the RTG catalog for years and are a bit basic in design. I played a little Tri Card Poker and Caribbean Draw Poker, which resulted in a loss of about $10. 

Poker games in this section contribute 25% toward the rollover, which is surprising as many casinos only let them contribute 10% or nothing at all.

Baccarat only contributes 10%. Other games, like Teen Patti and Lucky 7, do not contribute to the rollover, which is standard for most online casinos.

If you primarily play table games, don’t play with a bonus.

Video Poker

Typically, video poker is a highlight for me, and I expected it to be the case here. There are 15 video poker options at Club World Casino, and the variety is solid.

You have the classics like Jacks or Better, Joker Poker, and Double Double Bonus. There are also fun variants like Loose Deuces, Sevens Wild, and Pick ‘Em Poker.

The RTP for these games ranges from 97 to 98.98%. I play primarily Jacks or Better or Double Double Bonus Poker.

The speed of the software was most apparent in the video poker games. Video poker games should play fast, and it always felt like I was playing at half speed. It got quite annoying after a while. 

Video poker is what I generally use to stretch or “save” my bankroll. That wasn’t the case here. I went long stretches without even hitting a pair of jacks or better, which is odd for 8-5 machines and up.

If you’re a little older and familiar with live casinos, the games played like old-school 6-5 nickel machines rather than 8-5 or 9-6 machines advertised.

If not for the lucky big hit towards the end of my second deposit, this would have been some of the worst video poker sessions I’d ever played.

Don’t use a bonus if you plan to play a lot of video poker like me. The games contribute only 20% to the rollover, which is a little better than most casinos.

Still, your playthrough will be excessive, and with the way these games were playing, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Casual Games – Specialty Games

The specialty game section at Club World Casino is the default for RTG casinos, and it consists of Banana Jones, Fish Catch, and Keno.

Banana Jones and Fish Catch are fun little games that are a nice change of pace from traditional casino games. However, they do not contribute to the rollover, so don’t play them on a bonus.

Keno is the best game of the three. Its betting limits start at a penny per round and contributes 100% toward the wagering requirement.

I played a little Keno when my bankroll was running low on my first deposit. I played about 20 rounds and didn’t win a thing.

While Keno is luck-based, I rarely see it go 20 rounds without paying out at least a minimum win.

Club World Casino is a bit better than some casinos for banking. They accept a wider array of credit cards and cryptos than other casinos.

Withdrawal options are a bit standard, but banking options incur fees and have a high minimum. 

Deposits are fast and free, and withdrawals have faster processing times than most casinos. I didn’t have an issue with depositing and cashing out.

I ended up depositing with American Express because my Visa deposit failed.

The casino has a message stating that if Visa deposits continually fail, try MasterCard. My AMEX was handy, so I tried that, and it worked.

I still recommend trying credit cards. There are no fees for deposits, and the process is instant. 

If you’re a crypto player, always default to Litecoin, as it has the lowest fees out of all the cryptos accepted. 

The only real drawback to the process is that your Visa deposit may fail. If this happens, check with your bank to ensure you didn’t trigger a fraud alert.

Your withdrawal options are pretty standard overall, with options for bank wire, bank check, and Bitcoin.

The minimum withdrawal for bank drafts and checks is steep, at $200, and you’ll also pay a $25 fee. Bitcoin only has a $50 minimum withdrawal and no fees.

Looking at the options for cashing out, I suggest you use Bitcoin. It has the lowest minimum withdrawal and the fastest processing speed of around a day.

It is also the only option that does not incur fees. 

Before you cash out, you must go through KYC verification. You must provide a copy of a photo ID, a document verifying your address, and a copy of your payment credit card (if applicable.)

Lastly, you must take a selfie for facial recognition. It took me about 10 minutes to complete the process as they have online verification.

If you have to go through manual processing, it could take up to 48 hours. 

The cashout process itself was quick. I entered my Bitcoin address and amount and submitted it. I got my money in about 48 hours.

The standard processing time says about a day, but I cut them some slack since I had just gone through KYC.

I’ll start by saying that it’s good that I didn’t write this after my first interaction with customer service. It was highly frustrating, but all of my other interactions were great.

Below are my interactions with customer support.

Club World Casino’s user experience feels outdated and sluggish. The site uses RealTime Gaming software but relies on a remote server connection, which caused slow gameplay on the devices I tried to play on.

Navigation is simple, but the filtering options are almost non-existent. You can sort by New Games, Jackpots, or search for titles. But that is not enough, in my opinion.

The overall design is basic and lacks the excitement or visual appeal I am used to seeing at modern gambling sites.

Furthermore, the casino doesn’t provide information about the RTPs for its games, making it difficult for you to choose options with better odds.

Combined with the tight gameplay observed during my sessions, these issues make the platform feel stuck in the past.

This casino has been around for over 20 years, which is noteworthy, but it seems to have peaked in the 2000s.
