Myths Busted About Uptown Aces

Naturally, online casino players like to share information with each other, but that doesn’t always mean it’s fact.

Let’s take a look at a few myths about this site.

Although a few had high playthrough requirements, I was surprised that many were on the low side.

Other Bonuses I Reviewed

Here are the details of some of the other bonuses I reviewed, but opted not to recommend. 

The game selection was middle-of-the-road.

There are under 300 titles, most of which are slots. The table games category is minuscule, and there are no live dealers.

However, many of the slots had fantastic graphics. 

This casino is powered by RealTime Gaming. While they produce some stellar games, they often use similar features and formats, detracting from the variety multiple developers can provide. 

One thing I don’t like about RTG-powered casinos is that return-to-player information is frequently unavailable.

This was the case with Uptown Aces, where RTPs were nowhere to be found. Luckily, I could utilize practice play, which let me get a feel for the games before I wagered real money.

The cascading reels with increasing multipliers and free spins were lucrative, but the game would have been even better with a few extra perks.

Fortunate Buddha

I was charmed by the beautiful zen garden backdrop in this Asian-themed slot.

Six or more orb symbols trigger free spins, which can lead to a jackpot win.

When I played, the Super Grand jackpot was at $6,938.59.

Megaquarium

I loved the brightly colored fish in this aquarium-themed slot.

It also had a unique free game feature where re-triggered spins unlock increasing cash prizes, multipliers, and sticky wilds.

Plus, there’s a major progressive jackpot that was at $10,037.79 when I played.

Now, let’s get into my gambling experience at Uptown Aces.

I’ll go over each category of games this site offers, what I played, and how it affected my bankroll.

I started my gambling session with $25 in my account and played the slot Escape the North first.

On my first spin, I won four more re-spins. Surprisingly, my next spin triggered seven more, and I won $2.

With $27.02 in my account, the next game I played was Pyramid Pets, where my good luck ran out.

Lastly, I played Beary Wild and continued my losing streak, ending at $24.39.

This site has 209 slots, a smaller selection. They are all from RealTime Gaming (or SpinLogic), so many of the titles have similar features, which can start to feel redundant. 

I could filter my search by the number of reels, bonus rounds, and jackpots, but I was disappointed that RTP information was missing.

That made my gaming choices more difficult than anything.

Blackjack

I played Suit Em Up blackjack first, where I won three hands, lost two, and doubled on my last, bringing my balance up to $28.89.

Next, I played Perfect Pair, where I got a natural blackjack, but it wasn’t enough to make up for my losses.

Finally, I played the traditional version, where I doubled and won again, breaking even at $28.89.

With only three titles, the blackjack selection at Uptown Aces could be much better.

Since they’re all from RTG, they’re almost exact in appearance, and no RTP information was available. 

At the time of this review, blackjack contributed 25% and 50% for the two applicable promotions on this site.

Roulette

I played European roulette since this site offers only that game. I did pretty well betting on red and black, bringing my balance up to $30.89.

With just one roulette title, you could hardly call it a selection.

Most online casinos offer at least a few options. Also, it wasn’t under the table games category as it typically is.

I had to search for it and found it with the specialty games.

Again, RTG doesn’t disclose the exact return-to-player percentage for this title, but European tends to be around 97.3%.

The graphics were very basic, but the game functioned well.

At the time of this review, the rates for applicable promotions were 25% and 10%.

Video Poker

The first video poker game I played was Bonus Poker Deluxe, but it didn’t go very well, and I lost four dollars.

Next, I played Double Double Jackpot Poker and ended up losing another $2.

Finally, I played Jacks or Better, where I did even worse and ended with a balance of $19.89.

Uptown Aces has 15 video poker games, which is an average selection.

There is a decent variety among them, although the graphics were very similar.

The RTP of video poker tends to be 99% and even higher, but without confirmation, I can’t guarantee these titles are in that range.

At the time of this review, the rates for the two applicable promotions were 25% and 50%.

Casual Games – Specialty Games

The first specialty game I played was Fish Catch. I usually lose money on this title, but I managed to win $1.20.

Next, I played Banana Jones and broke even.

Finally, I played Keno, where I lost three rounds and ended with $16.35 in my account.

The specialty games category is inadequate.

Other online casinos typically have a variety of titles, like crash games, scratch cards, Bingo, and Plinko.

The graphics of Fish Catch and Banana Jones are excellent, but that’s not enough to stand on.

I was able to find the RTPs of these games on Google, and they range from 85-96%.

The first game I played in the other table games category was Baccarat.

I won a few and lost a few, but brought my balance up to $32.89.

The graphics were straightforward and devoid of any frills.

It’s an average selection that would satisfy most players’ needs, but without RTP information on the titles, you can’t be sure what kind of returns to expect.

Here’s How I Tested

I contacted customer support a few times with questions about bonus terms and conditions.

I’ll go over how my experience went with each.

There was nothing about the user experience that wowed me.

The site has a very basic structure and feels underdeveloped.

It was easy enough to navigate, and it functioned well, but I noticed a few discrepancies.

When I clicked on terms and conditions, it opened a separate window with information about the rules, games, banking, and promotions.

All seemed accurate, except for the games.

It displayed featured titles in each category that the site didn’t have, like Bingo, Pontoon, and American roulette.

That made me wonder what other information might be outdated.

Besides that, the site automatically logged me out after a few minutes.

It happened even when I was actively scrolling through terms and conditions, talking to live chat, or even in the process of opening a game.

It put a damper on the whole experience.

The mobile experience was essentially the same as the desktop and, unfortunately, also had the automatic log-out function.
